caffeine chronicles | 02: blue bottle coffee

We visited visited the Bay Area last July for a friend's wedding and the ceremony was held in Oakland, where Blue Bottle Coffee's headquarters is. We checked out the W.C. Morse cafe since it was the closest to our Airbnb. This particular cafe is in an historic building within the Temescal area.

For breakfast, Carlo and I shared the popeye's toast and a granola bar. For our coffee, I ordered the cappuccino and he got the mocha latte.

Their cap was excellent! No need for sugar and the roast was full bodied. Carlo's mocha latte was also flavorful without being overwhelmingly sweet. Breakfast was just okay; don't go there for the food if you're looking for something heavy (unless you like light breakfasts).

What I loved most about the place apart from the coffee was the building's high ceilings. Natural light came in wonderfully and the whole place looked clean and bright.

We'll definitely drop by again if we're in the Bay Area, or LA, and maybe even attend one of their classes. If you've been or are living in the Bay Area, feel free to recommend other coffee spots to try!
