September Edit

It was still September 2 days ago, the busiest month of my year by far mostly because the tail end of summer and the beginning of Fall marks convention season. I'm yet to know why yet but different industries just seem to convene around this time. Today and tomorrow are my days off (praise Jesus for my generous boss). After a full week of working at the Hyatt downtown (meetings, moving boxes, scanning badges, day after day of interacting with people), this introvert is ready for some down time.

Up on the 32nd floor of the Manchester Grand Hyatt!

Over a week ago, C and I got to watch one of his favorite artists at The Observatory. Bonobo is currently touring and San Diego was one of his stops. Because C is a big fan, we didn't want to miss the show. :)

A few of my favorite things from this month:

Werewolf - Their pork belly Benedict is out of this world.
Encontro - Get their chicken and waffles! One of the best I've ever had. What it is: Smoked cheddar and black forest ham waffle braised collard greens, melted onions, tabasco butter, vermont maple syrup. Party in your mouth.
Spill the Beans - Pictured above. Their beans come from San Diego-based roaster Dark Horse. Cappuccino is pretty good and the shop itself has plenty of natural light coming in.

September was eventful! October will have its busy periods but I'm looking forward to reconnecting with our friends at SDCF North during family camp (Columbus Day Weekend), seeing MUTEMATH live at the House of Blues, and fully embracing fall.
